Mongolian President arrives in Kyrgyzstan for SCO Plus and WNG opening

Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh has arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit.

At Manas International Airport, he was welcomed by Cabinet Chairman of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh will participate in the high-level meeting in the SCO Plus format, as well as the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games.

The national flags of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation member and observer states have been displayed at the airport to welcome the arriving delegations.

The Mongolian president was presented with a snow leopard stuffed toy, the official symbol of the 6th World Nomad Games.

• Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh has been serving as Mongolia’s president since 2021. Previously, from 2017 to 2021, he served as the country’s prime minister.

• Mongolia holds observer status in the SCO, and at the Bishkek summit, its president will participate as an observer in the expanded meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State.

• The 6th World Nomad Games will be held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6. The opening ceremony will take place on August 31 at Bishkek Arena.
