Speaker of Parliament S.Byambatsogt Meets with Business Representatives. The Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia, S.Byambatsogt, held an open meeting today /2026.05.27/ with representatives of entrepreneurs and wealth creators. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the economic environment, challenges facing private sector operations, and the legal framework.

At the beginning of the meeting, Speaker S.Byambatsogt highlighted the vital role and importance of the private sector, emphasizing that entrepreneurs are the primary force driving job creation, paying taxes, and tangibly supporting the country's economic growth. He pointed out that as Mongolia's economic structure shifts to a new level, there is a pressing need to consistently implement policies aimed at reducing state intervention and increasing private sector participation.

Furthermore, he remarked, “The state does not create wealth; rather, its duty is to fairly and efficiently allocate the taxes paid by wealth creators and to establish a stable business environment.” He expressed that the State Great Khural will focus on improving the investment climate, reducing red tape and regulatory burdens affecting business operations, and fostering a legal environment that supports taxpayers.

The Speaker also mentioned the importance of increasing the involvement of the private sector, professional associations, and industry representatives in the tax package law reforms currently being developed by the Government, stressing the need to incorporate their feedback on a broad scale. He stated that the leadership of the Parliament intends to hold such meetings regularly moving forward to ensure tangible results are achieved.

The meeting was widely attended by Members of Parliament M.Badamsuren, B.Punsalmaa, and R.Batbold, as well as the leadership of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), entrepreneurs, and private sector representatives. Participants exchanged views and expressed their positions on pressing issues within their respective sectors, particularly regarding taxation, financing, regulations, and the market environment.

According to the Media and Public Relations Department of the State Great Khural, the suggestions raised during the meeting will be consolidated to inform relevant policies and legal reforms, marking a concrete step toward strengthening public-private partnership.
