Prime Minister of Mongolia Uchral Nyam-Osor will pay an official visit to Japan from September 27 to 30, 2026, at the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi. 

This will be Prime Minister N. Uchral’s first official visit abroad since assuming office.

During the visit, Prime Minister N. Uchral will hold official talks with Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. The two sides will exchange views on further expanding and deepening their people-centered bilateral relations and cooperation across all areas under the framework of the “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity,” as well as on regional and international issues of mutual interest. 

Prime Minister N. Uchral will pay courtesy calls on the President of the House of Councillors and the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan. He will also hold meetings with the leadership of the Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Japan External Trade Organization, as well as representatives of the business community. 

Next year will mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan.

ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA (1 October 2026) — Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masato Kanda met President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa during a visit to Mongolia, where he announced plans to invest $1.3 billion in the country by 2027. As part of that effort, ADB signed three loan agreements this week totaling $455 million to modernize provincial health services, protect access to education during economic pressures, and strengthen Mongolia’s disaster preparedness.
