

President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh will participate in the general debates of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, which will take place in New York, and will hold a series of bilateral meetings and visit Chicago to engage with the Mongolian diaspora. The main theme of the session will be related to restoring trust and managing change in international relations, making this event particularly relevant in light of current global challenges.
During the debates, the president will present Mongolia's position on key international issues. The visit includes key diplomatic meetings, including negotiations with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and leaders of other countries. So far, representatives from 133 states have confirmed their participation in the discussions.
In addition to New York, the President of Mongolia will visit Chicago, where he will meet with representatives of Mongolians living in the United States. This event also holds symbolic significance, as this year marks the 65th anniversary of Mongolia becoming the 101st member of the UN, actively participating in the development of international diplomacy and peacekeeping operations.
The United Nations, founded in 1945, currently unites 193 states. Last year marked the 80th anniversary of the UN, highlighting the importance of this organization in ensuring peace and development worldwide.
