ULAN BATOR, June 4 (Xinhua) -- The 11th International Conference of the Ulan Bator Dialogue on Northeast Asian Security opened here on Thursday.

"The annual conference reflects the continuity and consistency of our country's foreign policy," the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

This year's conference has brought together more than 300 participants, including high-level representatives of governments, scholars, and researchers from around 40 countries, as well as delegates from more than 10 international organizations.

During the two-day event, participants are expected to discuss pressing security challenges and opportunities in Northeast Asia, preventive diplomacy, mediation practices, and sustainable approaches to regional cooperation and stability.

The conference will also explore the impact of emerging technologies on national and social development, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, its responsible use in strengthening national resilience, and ways to reduce security risks through effective governance, transparency, and international cooperation, according to the ministry.
